With growing demands on regulatory professionals to ensure accuracy and efficiency, the newest version of the industry-trusted proofreading software, TVT 12 delivers enhancements that allow users to navigate complex document requirements with greater ease and confidence.

“At Schlafender Hase, our customer-led development process ensures that we incorporate feedback from our TVT user community into every TVT upgrade,” says Mike Baird, Director of Product Development. “TVT 12, however, differs from previous releases, as all of the updates are exclusively the result of direct customer feedback.”

Here’s a look at the new features in TVT Version 12

1. Improved Style Check and Conformity

Precision in style and formatting isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s a crucial aspect of compliance. The upgraded style check, and conformity features in TVT 12 enable users to quickly verify adherence to brand guidelines and regulatory standards. The repeated words feature has been improved to now avoid false positives. These updates help regulatory affairs, labeling, and marketing teams meet stringent compliance requirements, reduce human error, and maintain brand consistency across documents.

2. Supporting ePI Compliance

Electronic Product Information (ePI) is becoming a regulatory requirement in many regions, and TVT 12 is equipped to support this standard. The software helps ensure that electronic product documentation matches regulatory specifications, reducing risks and simplifying the transition to digital information management. Using TVT to manage this process allows companies to stay ahead of ePI requirements and maintain a competitive edge in an increasingly digital landscape.

3. Food Allergen Compliance

TVT 12 introduces a new critical words list for Food Allergens across all European languages. This functionality supports EU Regulation No 1169/2011. and enables users to accurately verify allergen information in packaging and labeling materials. This feature ensures greater consumer safety and regulatory compliance, helping food manufacturers avoid costly recalls or compliance issues.

4. Simultaneous Multilingual Spell Check and New Dictionaries

Improvements to TVT 12’s spell check is another standout feature, supporting global regulatory compliance across different languages by allowing users to perform simultaneous spell checks for all supported dictionaries in the same review cycle. With new dictionaries for Indonesian and Thai, users can ensure accuracy in their multilingual documents without additional manual steps, expanding TVT’s capabilities in key global markets.

5. Artwork Approval Capabilities

We’ve introduced new levels of sensitivity in TVT Artwork, designed to detect even the smallest deviations in graphics. This means even higher accuracy for packaging compliance, reducing the chance of errors that could impact product integrity. Automatic alignment of image pairs further streamlines the comparison process, saving time and effort for designers and proofreaders alike.
